“This is a good quality attractive fire which works well on hard floors. It would not operate at all on carpet, even with a short pile. I got around this by sticking an extra piece on the bottom of the spring loaded unit under the base which effectively lengthened the unit so that it made contact when compressed. Now I am very pleased with it and it was good value for money.”

This product ceased to work after 7 days. I want to return it. Clearly faulty.looks like I recieved a return/ imperfect stock , a halogen heater should last longer than a week of approx 3 hours use in the evening.!”

“Doesn't come on when standing on my carpet, I guess my carpet is slightly un-level, not that I've ever noticed previously, so I have to weigh the base down with 2 bricks in order for it to come on. Also, sometimes when it's turned off and plugged in, it makes a weird noise, so I am having to unplug it from the mains whenever not in use as I'm scared it could catch fire or something.”
