“Only had this a day but compared to other sensor bins it seems to be good quality and the lid carrier appears stronger in construction. The opening is large and it stays open a reasonable amount of time. This allows you to place items for disposal in without fouling the lid. There is a holder in the lid for a deodorant but a sample block is not supplied. You need to also purchase 4 AA batteries. It does come with a 5 year warranty, if you register on the Tower site. It has fitted well in our kitchen and looks good.”
“A good quality bin that looks good. The sensor works well. One tip for users. The lid stays open for approximately 3-4 seconds which means if you are scraping a lot of food into the bin the lid will close whilst you are scraping. There is a switch inside the lid of the bin to turn the sensor off. If you open the bin using the sensor, turn it off, the lid stays open and then you can turn it on again when you have finished scraping the food. Sounds cumbersome but it's not and you would only need do this when scraping a lot of food into the bin.”
