“While the complete bread maker is certainly one of the best to be had, its biggest weakness is the stirring paddle. If you leave it to soak for any length of time rather than cleaning and drying immediately, it corrodes, lifting off the anti-stick paintwork and forming white powder down the inside hole which jambs it in place eventually. It isn't just this brand, but in my experience, most brands. Unfortunately Tower makes you buy the baking tin as well as the paddle, thus making for a much greater expense than necessary. In fact, I would have bought several paddles if the price had be around the £7 mark, which seems a reasonable enough price to me... take note Tower!”
