After a couple of years of dying my hair with a chestnut brown Henna, I have decided to try and grow it out. As I have super long hair, this will take some time. In the meantime I am using Tints of Nature semi tints and I am really pleased with how they blend my grey while I grow it out and decide what to do. They are really easy to apply and leave my hair feeling really soft and shiny. Gloves are enclosed but a shower cap would be helpful as I often take them when I am away. The henna cream chocolate covers my greying routes well. It isn't 100% coverage but I do not mind as it's very subtle.

Hi Jill, thank you so much for your review on our Henna Cream. We are so pleased to hear how our product is helping whilst you are growing out your hair.

Applying the henna dried my hair out so much it made a matted knot I had to get a hairdresser to help remove and partially cut out. There was no indication in your comments or instructions that it would have this effect. No conditioner was included in your product. It seemed like common knowledge that henna dries the hair out, yet your product doesn’t seem to include any warning or treatment to prevent it.

I used it for the first time. It’s pretty good but didn’t fully cover my grey hair. I left it on for 40 minutes. Should I leave it for longer? Overall it makes my hair shining.

Gorgeous warm colour. Very easy to apply. My hair looks soft and shiny. Tints of Nature is certainly the best henna cream colour on the market. Would recommend henna cream colour to anyone who wishes to have pretty and soft hair. Florence.

Wow! This is the best hair color I’ve used. I’ve been going grey because I was afraid of using the chemical based hair dyes. I wanted to use henna but was unsure about it. Found Tints of Nature henna cream and was sold. I purchased “chocolate”. My hair is so pretty and soft. And boy the highlights and lowlights it created. Covered all my grey. Will be using this from now!

This is a nice product, I was content with the results, although not in love. Here are the things that I liked the most: 1. The color. I love the color result. It is a subtle change and very close to my natural color, with a rich brown and some henna hues from certain angles. 2. Gray coverage was about 75%. It kind of seems like some of my grays absorbed it and others didn't. I only have gray on the underside of the hair framing my face, not all over. I actually decided I liked this, because It looks like I rolled back the clock and have some smattering of grays, but not a whole frame. (and yes, I left it on the extra time recommended for grays) 3. I liked that you don't have to mix the color with a developer. The color is ready to apply in one bottle. This is much easier. 4. not stinky, not burny, definitely you can tell it's more natural. Here are the things I either didn't like or am neutral about: 1. Even though you don't have to mix a developer with a color, it doesn't save you any time, because this is a three step process. First you wash your hair with the clarifying shampoo provided, then you put on the color, then you wait (10-15 mins longer than conventional haircolor), then you rinse and condition. This is two shower sessions instead of one. All in all, it takes longer. 2. It did not affect my hair condition one way or another. It didn't dry it out further, but it also didn't nourish it or make it shinier. 3. It seemed to take the curl/wave out of my hair, which I totally wasn't expecting. Depending on your hair type and how you feel about this, this could be a plus or a minus. My hair was a little flat when I finished. So, in summary, the best thing about it is the color itself, I would consider using it again for that reason alone, but it didn't seem to nourish my hair and I'm not sure how I feel about the "smoothing" or "flattening" effect. May just be my hair; my hair is very fine, tends to be dry, can be frizzy, but also can have a very nice wave or curl depending on humidity. If I was feeling like having straight hair, I might use again just because I really do like the color result.

Hi Stefani, Thank you for your recent review, We consider all customer feedback of utmost importance, and are extremely dedicated to ensuring our customers our satisfied with our products. I am delighted to hear that you have been happy with your colour result, due to the gentle nature of our products, the semi-permanent Henna Cream colours only have the capability for up to about 80% grey coverage. We appreciate that our colouring process is slightly longer than you may have been expecting. However we believe this is totally worth it. we recommend the use of Clarify Shampoo prior to colouring with Tints of Nature in order to achieve the best results; The reason for this is, that it prepares the hair for colouring by removing any grease, dirt, product residue and unwanted build up in the hair, which in turn helps you achieve wonderful even coverage. There is not any ingredients included in the Henna Cream that would actively cause your hair to appear smoother or flatter. However, it my best recommendation to combat this in the future would be to use our Hydrate treatment as part of your regular hair care routine. This treatment works to add moisture to the hair where it may be lacking, which will improve the overall condition and texture of the hair. We hope this helps, Kind regards Tints of Nature
