Hi Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry that the tie is wider than expected. We do try our very hardest to accurately describe and picture all products. In the product description we ensure it is clearly written that the tie is 9cm wide as we realise the width of the tie is a crucial part of the look of a tie when worn. If you would like to exchange it for a narrower tie you are more then welcome to do so. We have plain black ties available in 4cm, 5cm, 6cm, 7cm, 7.5cm and 8cm width.
