“I'm so glad I ordered these. I'm consistently a US size 11.5 in almost all shoes. Since Thomas Bird doesn't offer half sizes, I ordered the leather insoles. I was quite glad I ignored the FAQ suggestion to order a half-size lower than normal, but the alternate solution (which I accidentally found elsewhere on their website) to round up and buy the insoles was perfect! Frankly, the shoes without the insoles, while being a little large, seemed to have a slightly uncomfortable built-in insole. I don't know that I would have been happy with the shoe as is. But once I added the leather insoles, it was terrifically comfortable!”
