“I was after a modern, stylish stand for my electric piano, so it can be a decorative piece in my living room as well as a functionning instrument. I couldn't fid anything I liked so I set out to build one. These legs were just right - the grain is stunning and I love the natural looking finish. I had to cut them a bit shorter so the keys are at the right height and attach them to a wooden base - the piano itself is attached to this. Given it's a tripod there is no wobble. I attached the pedal to the middle leg (facing backward) and ran the cable behind it so it looks clean. Not too tricky as far as the diy goes..”
“had previously had correspondence with Tom, who was extremely helpful and received my "tapered oak legs" today. I could not be more delighted. They are really sturdy, yet still quite graceful with a beautiful oak finish which matches my table top perfectly.
They're very versatile as they are round from one angle but flat from the other, see photos. They were very well packaged and delivered as promised. My joiner was really impressed. He came to fit the legs but in fact I could probably have done it myself with a bit of advice from Tom. The table top is 930x180x27cms and I believe weighs approx 25 kilos. I was nervous that it might be too heavy or wobble but it is absolutely steady ... perfect !!
