I like whiskey to taste of whiskey.Just whiskey. If the maker is good at thier craft why drown the stuff with mixers? (a short step to alcopops) or take the edge of with water? But I am more than old enough to know Jamesons do know thier trade & if it seemed like a good idea to them to use Bourbon barrels for this I thought i might as well test the theory. Its a sound theory.Lots of spices the warmth of xmas pudding & a taste you usually only get when you chew something meaty.
