“Lovely soft throw - great to send a gift abroad that's essentially English. Would be nice to have a label stitched on to say it's English Merino wool, and the washing instructions.”

“This is the second blanket I've bought from the British Blanket Company. The colour is spot on what I wanted and the wool is lovely. Being Merino wool the blanket is thinner than some of their other blankets but ideal for what I wanted. I will be buying again I'm sure!”

“It is amazing what cosy warmth this soft, featherlight blanket gives to your bed. It is a lovely, subtle orange - a very relaxing colour. The blanket length is perfect for laying over a king-size bed. Since I had the very good fortune of discovering The British Blanket Company I have turned into your archetypal 'you can never have too many blankets' person!”

“The blanket was a lovely colour and appeared good quality for a large wrap-around shawl. BUT ....... AND A BIG, BIG 'BUT' ....... IT IS VERY THIN AND LIGHT-WEIGHT. I required it to replace my banket-fleece after 20 years of good service but which has become shabby over the years. This item rested on top of my duvet during the colder weather. Despite being made of wool it is not thick enough, or warm enough. If I had realised before using I would have returned it for a refund. At a cost of over £l00, it's extremely poor value for money, which would have been better spent, and less expensive, on purchasing a new fleece. I feel I have been 'fleeced', and I am extremely disappointed ......”

Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear that you were disappointed with this throw. Our merino lambswool throws are woven with premium yarns which are finer, lighter and softer than regular sheep's wool, creating a fabric that is lightweight but still lovely and warm, thanks to the unique crimped structure of merino fibres. We try to make this clear in the description for this blanket, as it's actually what makes this range so special and popular! We would happily have offered an exchange for one of our thicker pure wool throws, or a full refund, if we had been contacted before the throw was used. Thank you again for your feedback, it is all useful in helping other customers choose the right throw for them.
