“hi
background: i am 62 , disabled , as forgetful as most old people
i was asked for a copy of my driving license and a copy of ownership details s,i'd bought the van in july , insuring it shortly after , was then asked for driving license and v5 , this was only received by me from dvla mid august , i was away in the caravan when it finally arrived . i dont know if it was them late but they mustve had details from dvla about me and the van ? why ther strick fuss over confirmation paperwork. ive not found anyone to ever have this problem. id already had my previous driving experience not considered , since going to a motability motor it seems my previous insurance was not used for no claims so i ended up with £1100 pa or more for a old vsn value £800-£900
i forgot to pull out driving license as well, i got 2 or 3 letters from them in this time ,but i had no v5 / i'd pulled out licence after finding it ! but i had a letter from hastings post marked late august telling me my insurance was cancelled on 2nd september
whilst i appreciate the request , i was dealing with it , and had brought the details in the dy the letter arrived, it was faster than being late for a library book.
so now i am in position with no insurance as hastings has pulled it , a renewel quote now is £2200 or more ! i am very unhappy at this outcome”
“First time I used Hastings to search for my van insurance and can't recommend them enough, first class service and the best price that I could find, I will definitely be using them again”
