“I found that the van insurer site had quite a few prices on there that weren't kept by the companies quoting. I honestly felt ripped off by some, and think they make more money out of enticing people to call them, by offering low cost insurance, keeping them on the phone for as long as possible and then denying the insurance at the prices quoted. My mobile phone bill was around £80 after trying to insure my van. My chosen provider eventually only charged me £80 over the price quoted, and their reasoning for this was because I was paying in full. My premium was around £80 more because I paid in full. The premium quoted was for monthly payments where interest was added and profit made. I hate insurance companies and brokers. They're all out to make extortionate amounts of money and I don't believe there's any value at all in the deals.”
