“I suppose there's always got to be one that does not go smoothly, I'm not going into details as it would end up being a novel alas autonet I found was an up front good company but I got lied to , promised a replacement policy the list is endless, no I will never use Autonet again, even lied about emails!, and I even proved the said missing email was never sent and got a crass reply that Outlook Hotmail was terrible for emails etc, no never again, before not a problem, after 4 policy's I think it's now a company that originally worked hard at their start up to look good but has now gone slack,”
“great quote cheapest around easy setup over the phone documents were received fast and efficiently and polite staff. will definately renew my policy with autonet when its up for renewell”
“Well the price was good and met my requirements but customer service....
I was continually hassled to provide evidence of insurance on my other vehicle. I did not claim any years of no claims, but did say I drove another vehicle.
I sent this to them 3 times by email in the end and also spoke to them on the phone and after sending them for the third time, asked them to call me back if they hadn't received them in the next few minutes as I was sending them there and then.
I heard nothing so assumed all was well and then receive a letter threatening to cancel my insurance in 7 days as I hadn't provided the documents required!!!
Despite emailing in and complaining, all I received was a letter confirming receipt. No explanation or apology.
Inept doesn't even come close!”
“having used the site to get insurance on my van i was disappointed to discover that i had been miss sold the policy by Autonet, I purchased my van and explained everything to the sales person of what we intended to do with the vehicle (motor home conversion) they said it wouldn't be a problem .... which 2 weeks later was a huge problem
i rang to tell them that we had started the conversion and the guy on the phone said 'thats not a problem i will refer to the underwriters and get back to you'.. 3 days later i had to be ring back and explained again and the girl went a little quiet and then said 'what exactly will you be doing?' so i explained everything and she came back and said 'sorry we won't insure that vehicle.. we do insure motor homes but they have to be from a recognised manufacturer'....
the final result, £132 to cancel the policy and still no contact to explain why i was miss sold a policy”
