“They are useful, they didn't muffle the sound like foam plugs to the extent that I wondered whether I'd put them in properly. They reduced the volume at a gig so that the music was discernible - I took them out at one point when my phone was saying the noise level was 95dB and it was so loud the music wasn't half as clear, it was just screaming in my ears.
