“There is no delay in any operation given, plus the option, if needed, to display in 4K. Cannot fault the operation of the Rasberry Pi 5 that now includes an on/off button. Along with other enhancements, this is a unit that brings computing alive!”

“Unlike cases for earlier Pis, I found the Pi 5 flopped around in the case, so I had to fix it down with 2.5 mm csk screws. Also, in RPi OS Bookworm, there is no longer a fan setting in the standard Preferences. Otherwise, I'm very happy with it. I plan to do some more experimenting with various software, including Java, which I use more than Python, and evaluate some DAW apps.”

“I'm very happy with the pi upgrades. You can really use it as a desktop pc now. Improved bluetooth connections, YouTube and other streaming services are smooth.”

“Excellent, very quick, it is proving to be an impressive home cloud server. I am running the Pi 5 headless as there is no requirement for a desktop, the main software is Apache, mariadb and GeneWeb. Currently using a SSD for the boot media and storage, waiting now for an NVMe to PCIe adapter to become available to see how this affects overall speed and responsiveness. The Raspberry Pi team deserve to sell billions of the Pi 5.”
