“Brilliant device, To get started just go to http://micropython.org/download/rp2-pico/ and download the .uf2 file. Just plug the pico into a usb port and power up with the button pressed. Copy the .uf2 file to the drive shown under 'RPI-RP2" Reboot and set up a serial terminal, I used Putty, to access the REPL prompt. or better use Thorny to directly write python files to the device.”

“Very inexpensive for what it can do. The one drawback for me was the need to solder on the pins. But I suppose it does mean you can choose male/female connection.”

“Bought this low cost product to experiment with micropython, moving from C++. Easy to setup and get the 'hello world' over with using Thonny. In short - an ideal piece of kit if you want to start in programming or for old timers like me to see what Python is all about.”
