Well. One now has 256K of RAM to play with! And at 133mhz! Not accessed that yet but I'm writing to 64K with the 3us ADC and a 3 sec delay into 12 bit SPI DAC. So much fun 2b had in the future..

First, it came from The Pi Hut so it arrived quickly, the shipping was cheap and the product was well packaged. If you ever have to talk to them they are the epitome of courtesy and helpfulness. Second, I love Raspberry Pi computers. This is my 6th! In less than a year since I discovered them. I also have an Adafruit Trinket M0 and, on the way, an Adafruit Feather M0 Express. Raspberry Pi prefers MicroPython. I find MicroPython complicated to use because I'm a GUI kind of guy and, the fact that Adafruit's CircuitPython pops up as a hard drive and is integrated into Mu makes life easier for me. However, as the Pico is so new, the CircuitPython port is not complete. They tell me that MicroPython is integrated into Thonny but, it doesn't work as well. I bought the Pico as a Neopixel controller without realising that it has a brand new PIO & StateMachine architecture built into it that allows it to handle Neopixels at EIGHT TIMES THE SPEED of bitbashing them in MicroPython. It also allows it to do many other AMAZING things but, I don't care about them yet. Reading up about the PIO assembly language has been fascinating and developing a half decent Neopixel class with PIO assembler and a State Machine in CircuitPython has been really interesting. Raspberry Pi have published a specific MicroPython on Pico book which you can download for free and, as always, the quality of their educational material is first class. I bought the Pico with the essentials box which was very useful except for the USB dongle thingy which is hopeless. Of course, you have to solder the headers onto the Pico which, for me, with wobbly hands and fingers like sausages, & useless soldering skills, was a bit of a fiasco but, if it can survive my soldering skills, you'll be just fine. I would have preferred a pre-assembled version though.
