“All I needed was a TV to plug it into. A “new user” guide was an appreciated extra. Initially had to wait for stock to come available but I got an email notification when it did and ordering & delivery went smoothly.”

“Excellent kit to get going, with all the official Raspberry Pi 4 items you need. Items are of a good quality, and well made. Includes a Raspberry Pi book too, that covers a broad range of topics, so should be a handy guide, no matter what your knowledge level is. The PiHut managed my order efficiently, and it all turned up very soon after. Recommended!”

“Yes it is a great bit of kit and I am sure much fun will be had by myself and the many others that have bought it but it runs HOT. In the very stylish red and white case, lid on, it hits 80 degrees and throttles so quick that it is nearly unusable. Take the lid off, white bit, and it settles to around 55 -57 degrees and rarely hits the trottled 80. Guys at Raspberry need to add a heat sink and air vents in the lid on any minor design revisions they will hopfully make. So run it with the lid off or buy one of the many cases that have heat sink and fan built in.”

“Two problems found - 1. The mouse doesn't work 2. The memory card held Raspbian and not NOOBS. Apart from these the R Pi worked just great and I am very happy with it.”

“I am reviewing the kit in its entirety as I believe some room for improvement. Packaging 4 stars, not 5 stars as the rubber feat for the pi case are inside the pi case with the pi, if I had powered this on without opening the case the rubber feat could have melted inside an potential to damage the PI. Suggest rubber feat not stored inside the pi case. The PI case 3 stars out of 4. I could not run the Pi in this case without getting overheat warnings. Primary issue is there is no ventilation in this case design. (Newer firmware my address some heat issues but i feel this case design is not suitable for a pi 4 out of the box without modification) Power supply, manual and cables 5 star everything you need to get started. Keyboard 5 stars, usb pass through a bonus i was not expecting that, a few extra usb ports always welcome. would be nice if the keyboard used a usb-c connector but not worth marking it down. Mouse 3 stars, marked down the mouse I received has very sharp edges the red casing where it joins the white top not comfortable to hold would not cut you but would leave a mark if you dragged your hand along the edge. Made my own modifications to correct that (invalidating the warranty I'm sure but is a mouse so not too bothered) To be clear this is a great starter kit and worth the money, just some quality issue that i feel could be improved on.”
