Reminds me of receiving my ZX Spectrum aged 10 back in 1984, but this has 4GB RAM not 48K! Fantastic product and amazing customer service from the Pi Hut. Very pleased.

Having recently purchased the Lego smart package for my Grandson's Christmas pressie I thought that I would get ahead of his 'learning ' (and mine!) in certain migration to him getting his hands on a Raspberry pi. Therefore I purchased the Pi 400 PC and I am now working my way through the beginner's guide (I am certainly not a computer buff) in anticipation of assisting my grandson in a few month's time with progressing programming his Lego etc projects. The Pi 400 PC is nicely packaged and easy to set up. Programming so far is easy to understand and I am sure my Grandson will love it. I am just about to progress into programming in Python - as i am sure this will keep my Granson occupied for months to come. Hopefully the best pressie I have ever purchased for my Grandson. So far I am impressed with the Pi - great value and will not hesitate to purchase one for my Grandson's Birthday later in the new year (once he has exhausted the lego programming experience!).

I had a Raspberry Pi 2 for a number of years and decided to upgrade to the Raspberry Pi 400, and I'm not disappointed! I use it mainly as a personal computer and it is perfect for that. It takes up very little room on my desk, connects easily to my wifi and HDMI screen, and it looks good too! I have a laptop for work that I am wary of playing around with the configuration of in case I mess something up I'm not supposed to. Having this Pi 400 means that I can hack and code away to my heart's content and if I mess something up, no big deal, I can just start from scratch and re-install the OS from an SD card. Perfect for learning to program.

This is, frankly, the natural evolution of the BBC Micro computer. If you would like to give anyone an accessible start in computer science or embedded electronics, this is a good way to go. It's well built, has all of the expandability of an ordinary Pi4, _but_ it comes with - or is built into - all of the required peripherals to make getting started with Arm-based operating systems a doddle. The included book covers simple and basic GUI based logic flows, more complex Python examples, but most importantly small electronics projects that can be attached to the GPIO header for automation. I will be buying at least one of these for nephews/nieces this Christmas.
