Any case that doesn't take into account the excessive heat generated by the Pi 4"s CPU is pointless and a waste of money. With the Pi 4 installed and the lid clipped on, as it is designed to do, the chip gets so hot that the case feels like it might melt! Mine reached 85 Deg C which is ridiculously hot, and throttled back. The temperature never dropped below 80 Deg C unless I removed the lid. This makes the case pointless as the Pi rattles around loose in a case with no lid. Surely a case which is designated "official" should take the heat problem into account and be designed to accommodate a fan! I've just wasted my money on this.

While the official case does what it needs to in terms of protection for your Pi4, it unfortunately doesn’t leave any way to vent hot air from the CPU. I have a FanShim due to the higher temperatures the Pi4 reaches and I have now had to get a different case to ensure enough ventilation. Not cool.

As with the previous version, it goes together really well and very easy!

The raspberry runs to hot in this case. Running hot increases the MTBF I have brought another case with a fan

Case is perfect fit for Pi 4. Bought when this was the only case option for the board. Isn't my preferred case type (prefer cutout slots to removable cover) but does the job.

Very easy to assemble and disassemble Pi4 fits in easily and lid clicks on so easily. Haven't run for very long periods and because I read it would throttle back its processor speed if it overheated I left the lid off. Suggest modifying lid to include fan with jumper leads
