The problem always encountered with the previous versions was a lack of memory, the Pi 4 with 4Gb of memory has solved this in spades. I can only comment on performance with Raspbian, as Ubuntu isn't available yet, but interface performance is so much quicker. The inclusion of USB 3 is also a huge bonus, as I can now run the OS from an external USB SSD, and not have the slowness of USB 2's throughput. Early days of testing, but the best Pi by far, and looking forward to expanding on it's usefulness. Only two small gripes, why micro HDMI, and it runs hot, even with heat-sinks added.

The product is perfect, as expected. The shipping costs were better than The competitors. Thanks for the quick and awesome customer service too :-)

Bought 4 Gb variant. Immediately put into use - The reported problems of Cabling issues because of non-standard USB 'c' have NOT manifested themselves for me. Temperature issue has not been a problem either especially after updating firmware. 56 degrees when streaming video - this despite running without cooling as fan shim not arriving yet from another company. Will be buying more. There's always a danger with early adoption but there's a lot of scaremongering out there - that I have found to be innacurate and exagerated. Excelllent product.

Great little board. Really happy with the purchase, works really well. Thought I would have to wait several months after they went out of stock, but ThePiHut surprised by re-stocking them really quickly.

Still not sure where it fits? Incredible spec on paper. When will I need 2 x 4K HDMI? But you might. Standard 2 amp power supplies will not work. Software yet to catch up - lighttpd had to be tweaked to run (wait a while?). Cheap HDMI lead from eBay (~£2) failed - go for ~£4 versions - or PiHut!! If the more basic Pis are to remain on sale then all is well.

Much faster than any of my other Pi's. Usable as a desktop even for some less trivial tasks.
