It's powerful enough but sometimes faced with throttling issues... But still, 5 stars for it

Brought this recently, as i wanted a new pi for some projects. Its ridiculous how fast this is compared to my pi 3. Raspbian boots in a couple of seconds. Can't wait till more OS's are fully compatible with the 4, and can use the 4gb. I use with the official charge, so havn't had any of the reported issues with USB-C cables. Havn't really stressed it yet, so no heat issues either.

Great board seems much faster than my Pi3 but not very supported at the moment (as always with the new Pi releases) Ive only managed to get one image to work so far and had no luck with emulation software but im sure it will be supported in time.

I use my Pi for collecting and collating information from my Solar heating and storage system. My old Pi used to struggle when I all 4 energy devices were sending updates in real time to it. The new Pi4 with the additional memory does not even skip a beat. Great upgrade. Great price.

I've added this RPI 4 to my three others including an original model b. All continue to work well with my home automation. The RPi 4 works verytwell with an old HD TV using a mini HDMI cable, so less bulky than the older HDMI. Installation of raspbian was a breeze and with the new USB power supply there are none of those irritating low voltage warnings. I had a look at the early desktop and apps, but as I'll be running this PI as a headless wonder this was more out of curiosity than any real desire to use them. All in all a nice little box of tricks and with the top end of memory it should surge along just fine for a good time yet.
