Raspberry Pi 4 itself is very good. Service from PiHut was poor. It took four weeks for this to turn up. Several emails were exchanged with them and I was told that it had been dispatched and would turn up soon. After 3 weeks nothing showed up so more emails were exchanged and another was “dispatched”. One week later this finally turned up. The package had a post mark on it saying it was sent the previous day. The PiHut is based approximately 10 miles from where I live. I suspect that the PiHut had run out of stock and were awaiting a fresh delivery. A little honesty next time perhaps? Shame really as I will not be using them in the future.

This review may seem somewhat harsh because the Pi is an amazing product, however I have been disappointed with this model. I have two issues with Pi 4, it runs very hot and should come with a cooling fan or at minimum an effective heat sync. The dual monitor facility just doesn't work. Other wise this is a fantastic computer!!

I set this up on a WiFi power switch and a dongle for a wireless keyboard and mouse behind the TV. I can now say "Alexa, switch on the Raspberry Pie", take the wireless keyboard and mouse and write and answer my emails, and so on from my easy chair - in 4K. Nice. :)

This is almost a desktop replacement now. Got my 1Gb model running just using webpages, and is going great.

I have a 4GB version and I am very impressed. This has been used as my normal computer and I have had no problems whatsoever. Instead of an official case I bought one of the open acrylic sheet types with a built in fan and even under high load....it runs at temperatures in the low to mid 50s so I have never experienced any throttling back due to heat issues. Do use a high spec card as the performance is notably degraded if an older card is used

Addition of 2 USB 3 sockets welcome. Runs hot so cooling is advised. Will be a bit warm in the official Pi case so an open type case would be better. Explaining Computers .com has video advising about cooling techniques. Waiting for a metal case to arrive so I can modify it to cool mines down as much as possible. Ovarall, I'm pleased with this upgrade.
