“If somebody starts making a “serious” case for this model of the Raspberry Pi, manufacturers of low-end desktop PCs should worry. It really is good enough to serve as a desktop replacement, at last. Intrigued to note the mention of 8gb in the accompanying documentation: I’ll buy another when that comes out. I’m now using the Pi as my daily driver, writing research papers using Google Docs. I’m also writing a novel using LibreOffice. Goodbye, Microsoft Office!”

“well, this little thing is pretty cool, small like before some parts have changed position so you cant use old cases but then again why would you. Its out with the old in with the new anyway. Im not a fan of these micro hdmi ports and to have two of them it kinda pointless but if need be have one full size and another the micro hdmi as an option if you really needed to have two monitors. I would only have the two outputs on the 4gb anyway as there would be enough memory to at least run them. The 1gb and 2gb just keep the standard real size hdmi ports as they are so much stronger than putting in a tiny micro hdmi socket. As testing out my 1gb one I bought a microhdmi to dvi cable in advance so when I got the pie everything would be ready. The lead lasted 2 days before it broke when moving the pie about on the desk as it just snapped the neck, just hope its not the pie`s port that made the noise. Make sure you buy the correct power supply also its just makes it easier than messing about with other power supplies. Last thing get a heat sink and buy some 3M double sided adhesive 12mm if you can find it as it does run hot without the heatsink. Especially now the new firmware has opened up the overclocking to 2ghz on the cpu and up to 620 on the gpu. Very early stages in the software like retropie as that's not even out yet as there is still lots of testing and bugs that need to be sorted out for the new hardware to work correctly with it. Apart from that its great, buy one just to tinker with.. I did as was just curious on what all the fuss was about. Glad I did they are fun to mess about with.”

“Tinkered with raspbian, works like a charm. Can't wait for the boot upgrade to boot from usb3 device! Openelec alpha release with kodi works fast and very good. Haven't used 4k yet.”

“Great Product. Unfortunately it came with one bent GPIO pin which I managed to carefully straighten with an air canister hard straw, so hopefully the metal pin hasn't lost strength. Everything else is fantastic.”

“After buying every previous Pi and finding its limitations, this one completely satisfies. It is a perfectly respectable personal computer brilliantly, elegantly designed. Raspbian Buster also seems to have arrived at the same time and provides a complete, straightforward Linux operating system. Well done to the Raspberry engineers who have had the vision to bring this imaginative concept to fruition. I own several computers, some of them top-end Apple products and have been active in this world since the Sinclair ZX81. Guess which is my favourite? - the Raspberry Pi 4B!”
