I got the zero to test making a mobile RetroPie system, the idea being that it looked small and would fit better than my 3b. I was shocked how small it is an how well it performed, I don’t expect it to run anything past the SNES so I am not going to even bother, however all the other systems I have loaded work perfectly. If your thinking of making a small emulator then this is worth a go.

Pre soldered sockets are good for someone very young and a soldering iron a risk. The Project was a MMDVM repeater/hotspot which will mean little to most. The point is for a specific project and a minimum cost computer this is a Ideal device. Dont run away with the idea this is a crippled unit, but do understand to use to its full potential needs a lot of knowledge or its as useful as a brick to a carpenter.

Primarily purchased for my 9yr old to play with scratch and physical world. Using it as a GPIO extender attached to Raspbian install laptop works wonders. Great product. Now I want 4x Zeros and a cluster Hat.

It's a tiny computer. What more do people want to know? It will never break any benchmark test but it's great for simple tasks.

Amazing piece of equipment, fitted card plugged it in & away it went. I have fitted it with a case to protect it. Board, connectors, card & case came to about £30-00. Ideal for teaching or experimental work. It is a full blown computer, from spreadsheets to control & programming.
