“I have 3 Pi Zeros with MMDVM boards running Pi-star. They are reliable and run off minimal power, using a phone charger or USB cable in the car. There is always room for another”

“Love these little devices; using an old OS and some online tutorials have managed to use this both as a client and access point. Now installing MQTT to act as intermediate broker between my ESP32/ESP8266 devices and my cloud based linux box. Next thing to do is to solder on an external antenna so that the wifi range can be extended.”
