“Nothing wrong with the Pi3 itself but it arrived from the PiHut having been removed from it's original retail box and placed in a thin cardboard mailing sleeve. This was no doubt to save postage costs. Not only did I want the original packaging, but the replacement sleeve offered very little protection to the Pi. Very poor show PiHut. If you are going to cut corners like this you should make it clear in the product description. I re-ordered from an alternative supplier, got free P+P, and a fully 'original' Pi3.”

“Nobody would complain at more processing power, but with the current OS being 32-bit we can't quite take advantage of it. Likewise while I don't mind having BT + Wifi onboard, I won't be using on this form factor. Where we needed wifi/BT was on the Zero and the Model A for controlling robots, micro projects and connected sensors.”

“I'm using mine for osmc and it's brilliant. I have a tvheadend server running on it as well using a couple of usb tuners and it's nearly a perfect htpc solution. I have a home media server running on a rpi2 with an external hard drive tucked away in another room with my music and films on. I can also stream games from my pc to the rpi3 in the living room. A lot of trial and error went into this but that's the whole point of these little computers. A bit of effort on my part, but I've now got a scalable, efficient, low cost media system up and running and in the process I learnt loads about linux, networking etc. I've only scratched the surface!”

“Actually fast enough for use as an extra browsing machine. But it gets a little hot - I bought a set of heat sinks for it :)”
