“I have been wanting one of these for a while so Bought this in the Black Friday Sale at a great price. The one supplied by ThePiHut is the latest version that not only comes with firmware fixes but also the controller board is already mounted on the back of the display which saves time in building. You have to add a line to the config.txt (Using latest Raspbian Stretch) for the display orientation to be correct but this can easily be done prior to inserting the SD Card. Everything worked great on first boot with no pixel issues, I now just need to see if the Speaker pHAT can be installed at the same time.”

“Thus screen allows me to use my pi where I want, and when I want without loads of periferals. It is easy to put together but you really need the back and frame. I had to put a line in the config.sys file to put the screen the right way up and also to put the keyboard on screen. Somehow I now have the choice of two, Florence and matchbox, neither of which are anywhere near as good or easy to read as my mobile phone. In fact I may continue to use the plug in. But I do like the fact my pi is safe in a case and can now go anywhere”
