“easy to solder together, although I used the extended header which is a bit harder. Also using matlab instead of Python to drive the board and it was easy enough to create the interface script. Overall excellent hat and I will purchasing more Adafruit stuff from now on.”

“Camera was bought to see if it could be used as a security camera. In combination with Raspberry Pi 2 and Motion software it works as well as the commercial camera its replacing and has advantages in that recorded motion events are stored on the raspberry pi so do not need a PC left on permenantly. Camera works well and was easy to configure. (although configuration is by editing a config file - no nice graphical UI). However I did need to buy a longer connector cable. Have experimented with the Pi Hut lens and a few other cheap lenses but these are not necessary.”

“As the title says, the camera doesn't cost much but the image quality is more than decent. Very simple to use, either by comand line (raspistill), or with libraries (I used python picamera) Didn't dissapoint.”
