“Bought this camera module along with the Noir version as well. Extremely easy to set up. The ardest bit was working out which way the ribbon connected but a quick youtube search helped here. Decent quality video and decent framerate. Now playing around using the camera with a few packages for face recognition. This does lower the framerate dramatically but there are ways around this (only running recognition every x amount of frames for example) but this is not an issue with the camera, more to do with the spec of the Pi (Pi3) along with the amound of processing face recognition requires.”

“I've bought a second camera since as I'm very happy with this one. The problem I have found is the few camera cases I have tried are not v2. 1 ready so just be aware. It has a sensor connector lens side that does not allow it to sit flush. I use the camera for time lapse and it's great Would recommend.”
