Love the way the case just snaps together no screws needed

I’m doing an IT degree part time and was recommended purchasing a Raspberry Pi to put some of the concepts I’ve learnt into practice. I’m really impressed with the quality and performance from such a small device. I’m a few projects in and can already see the benefits in terms of my development!

Everything was great, the order arrived quickly and everything was exactly as expected. I personally don't like the case that came with this pi. You can't see the LEDs when the case is on (there are no holes in the case, and I can't see where you can put any easily). I have another case for a pi 3 and it allows me to take one piece off on the side to get access to the gpio pins, whereas this one doesn't. Also personally I don't think the case looks as nice as my other one. The finish is a bit more shiny than my other case which has a matte finish. I might have looked for a different case but it's not enough for me to do anything about it now.

Finally I've gotten into the pi game, and what a beast to start with. I can barely believe this has more power than my first PC but it does! Looking forward to seeing what it can do.

Everything I needed to produce an audio streamer using volumio . Much cheaper than Amazon and next day delivery. I attached it via usb to an IFI Zen and it worked straight away. Thoroughly recommend this. Much cheaper and arguably better than a proprietary HIFI music streamer.

My first time using this type of tech. I much prefer this over Arduino. I found, though capable of being used as a standard computer, it’s capabilities are much better suited for being configured as stand alone tech such as a Wi-Fi router. I really like how the whole OS is saved on an SD card or memory stick and the simplicity of it. However it really is about getting used to it especially if you have had windows computers and are not used to using Linus. It had certainly helped getting used to Putty as well. It could also do with a manual on what IP addresses, shh, DHCP is and any other basic terms. But I’m sure users will find out soon enough. For me it is rather fun figuring it out.
