Unfortunately I’m disappointed with the Pi 4, it runs very hot particularly when I tried it with an install of Ubuntu and was very slow. Initially I wanted to run Plex but I got so concerned about the heat I changed to an install of Libreelec; the Pi ran cooler but video playback back is terrible with jerky stuttering images. As I haven’t been able to resolve this issue so the Pi 4 is currently sat redundant whilst I try to find a solution. I have reverted to my trusty Pi 3 which has never let me down. With regards to the Kit everything was delivered as advertised and in excellent condition. I have no issues with the PI Hut. My issues are with the performance of the product.

Four Screws to attach the Raspberry pi 4 board to the case are missing. Assembly instructions are also missing. It is a bit difficult for newbies to get started.

Bought it as a gift for a sister without much experience in RPi. She was excited and still plays with this kit. Good things about this kit: * contains almost everything you need to start (except display, keyboard and mouse, but if you already have a PC this shouldn’t be an issue) * RPi OS is quite friendly to people without experience in Linux * Tons of tutorials and projects on internet means everybody will find something interesting to do with RPi * Great looking case :) So far she learned few things in terminal and played with LEDs and motors which make her very proud of herself.

It was good to finally get my hands on another Pi 4, though I ended up having to get the starter kit. No doubt the PSU and HDMI cable could come in useful, though not needed. All set to use it for Victron Venus OS (Large image) for monitoring my solar charging, etc, and running Node-RED on the narrowboat we live on. I've run up Raspbian on it and all looks good.
