“Excellent product for Raspberry PI developers as this temperature sensor works without the support of an app. It can be configured using a direct connect IP address and a browser. The final configuration setting can be to connect to a WiFi router. The sensor broadcasts temperature and humidity under certain conditions to a web server that can be your own. No encryption. I've had 4 of these sensors on test for a week and they do exactly as described. I would have given 5 stars but a couple of features don't work. 1) Changing the device name to something sensible like a room name is not reflected in the broadcast data. 2) The Status call to the device doesn't work as documented.”
