“Having been on youtube and seen a few videos of what one of these babies could do, my birthday came around and purchased myself one.. Not being to tech savy or too knowledgeable about the Rasberry Pi3b+, I soon realised that, what I thought was the correct/compatible software capable of running things seen in the youtube videos, wouldn't work on my variation of the Pi hardware. Sure enough though, after a few posts of the retropie forum, and some very helpful replies from what seems to be a very helpful community.. I was in nostalgia heaven!! I am replaying all the games I loved 20 odd years ago, and also a load of games I was never able to play, in all their glory! Admittedly, it's not perfect, some 3d games don't run quite as well as they did on the consoles of which they originated. However, this is only a minor grumble, and I'm sure in time, emulators will be able to emulate them much better :) To some it up for me, Being able to play Bomberman, NBA jam, micromachines and turtles arcade game (to name a few), all in 4 player mode is worth the price alone in my book :)”

“The Pi is great, but not so much with the accessories. The controllers are very cheap. All-in-all, it's a great package, but I'd order the parts seperatly next time. This was a gift for my son, but I'm getting myself one as I was impressed by the overall flexibility of the Pi 3B+.”

“The kit was received really quickly, I had an issue running booting the distro I had installed, but a message to their Facebook page and it was quickly resolved (I needed to use beta software which works perfectly). Would certainly use again, and will probably be doing so for a PiHole build...”

“i bought two of these and two off the controllers out of four keep scrolling down 2 are still sealed so will contact support other than that the delivery and buying the item went smooth would deffo deal with pi hut again”

“Got help from Jamie (iirc), 3b+ image isn't listed anywhere except some obscure twitter post which links to a Google drive download, guess my GoogleFu isn't up to scratch, felt like a bit of an idiot installing the wrong image repeatedly, after several hours messing with it he sorted me out. Subsequently, a fellow engineer bought the same bundle and it took me 20 minutes to set his up, he's a grey beard, didn't want to do it himself. 2 sales... That's got to be good right? Cheers for the link bud, myself, wife and even my 10 year old boy love it - xbox junkie playing streets of rage? "is this how you used to game dad? Can I get one?" Can't stop my wife from kicking my arse at bomber man though, that's grounds for divorce surely? Cheers Jay”
