Keeps the Pi4 board cool.. mine has been running nicely for almost 3 weeks... avg cpu temp when idle is ~43 degrees currently. I can highly recommend this case

Kept the pi4 much cooler although the case itself got very hot.

Couldn't be happier with the case! Beautifully made, looks great, fits perfectly. It is worth noting though that with a Pi 4 it will get fairly hot (but not too hot to touch) which is great in that it is acting as a good heat sink but I hadn't anticipated it would be that warm!

Designed for use with a stand-alone Pi 4 cannot really use with Hats. The best case made Pi 4 case I have tried. Always used the slightly smaller one on my Pi 3s. I would recommend this product as it looks good, is an effective heatsink (needed for Pi 4)

I use Pi4 with Kodi, the FLIRC case is the perfect companion. Very polite and show all the led's light of the PI.

The Raspberry Pis have been getting hotter and hotter over time, and according to the reviews, the Pi 4 definitely needs cooling for even moderate workloads if CPU throttling is to be avoided. I used active cooling with my Pi 3+, and it works well, but the fan draws extra power and I'm not sure how well such small fans will last - so for the Pi 4 I wanted to use passive cooling. So, as soon as this case became available, I took the plunge and bought a 4GB pi 4 along with the case. The Flirc case looks great and does a really good job of keeping the Pi "cool", even under heavy loads (the CPU temperature stayed under 60 C - so no CPU throttling :-). The case itself does get quite warm (I wouldn't say hot) but that just shows that it's doing an effective job at removing the heat from the CPU. Before I bought the case, my only concern had been that it might degrade the Pi's on-board WiFi performance, but for me at least, any interference appears to be minimal as the WiFi signal strength indicator on the task bar showed about the same level as my Pi 3+ did when mounted in a plastic case.

Like the passivity. Passive means quiet! Why the plastic top that restricts cooling? Even better with a ribbed aluminium top.
