“I spent happy hours on the 23rd December soldering this together. I made one improvement by using multi-coloured LEDs and it all worked beautifully. I was more pleased with this than my real tree (which was also awesome by the way!). I ran it all Christmas with my Pi Zero W and it worked a charm. I used VNC to hop onto the Pi to kick off the Python script every morning.”

“I bought the unsoldered version and built it with my 7 year old son, we had a lot of fun putting it together. I brought it to the office where all my coworkers were sufficiently impressed. One of my coworkers kept calling it adorable..”

“Snaps together nicely, plug it in, use the python code provided , set it to autologin and autostart the python script and away you go! Looks really good, blinking away even my mum was impressed with it :)”

“Got a couple of these as a soldering exercise for myself and my 14yr old daughter who managed to solder the complete project and getting work on her Pi. Gave her more confidence in he soldering and hopefully an interesting insight into STEM”

“Perfect to bring some Holiday cheer to your desktop. Lovely build quality. The PCB is very nice with the golden embellishments. Got my 11yo to solder and put it together. We only managed to get to the default code this year. It will be brought out next year for more Cheerful experiments.”

“I am not a regular solderer however I found this fun and easy to put together and even more fun to program the funkadelic light show. I would recommend getting the box of assorted coloured LEDs to make it more interesting”
