I purchased this to setup a retro console based on the RPi 3 and it works great. Despite the super mage low price of just £5 quality seems decent, buttons have nice feedback and do not feel too "soft". I would recommend this for anyone looking to setup a console on the cheap.

Had I payed over £10 for this gamepad, I'd have rated it lower. But, for a fiver, you just can't beat it. I would have given it 5 stars, but one of the controllers I purchased has a janky B button that doesn't quite register presses properly, and the finish is a bit rough. Again, for £5 this is a steal and works great. I've used more expensive controllers that aren't as good.

Plug and play with RetroPi - only had to configure the buttons on first run through. Clicky buttons, very responsive and as i remember. Comes as a quality little pakage, and nice box.

97% of the time this controller does what it should. Occasionally you have to make sure you give the button a good press. Though that may be the raspberry pi 3.

I thought it was too cheap to be true when I saw that the PiHut controller where only a fiver. I bought to and I am very pleased with them. Awesome that The PiHut produce these kind of stuff for nerds like me.

I bought two of these controllers along with a Pi Zero for a game setup. The general design is good. The buttons are nice and clicky as advertised, due to the board being firmly set in place. The d-pad isn't mushy or stiff. Rubber Start and Select. A real SNES controller would probably use better plastic and weigh more, but at this price I'm not complaining. Sadly, both of my controllers exhibited the same issues. Both have faint blemishes on the grey casing in the same places. Critically, the A and B buttons had a hard time registering anything but the hardest press at the top and right edges. Turns out the board is fixated in not quite the right position. After trimming the fixating pins, shifting the boards ever so slightly, and putting the controllers back together, they now work as they should. All things considered, I think these are great controllers for the price. I would rate them at 5 stars, once Pi Hut gets these early batch issues cleared up with the manufacturer.
