- We've had a lot of fun with this Edukit. - We also learned a lot about Python, controlling the engines, but also on the construction of our robot. - Fast delivery to Holland - See our video reports: part 1: https://youtu.be/nabOMhvrHQw part 2: https://youtu.be/XBOoCcYjZ1Y

The Robotics kit was the third I'd had and the best. Good price, prompt delivery, excellent supporting worksheets. Recommended to any others over 83 who want a reminder of their younger experimenting days.

The kit comes with all important clear instruction and does not require any soldering unlike some other Pi Robot Kits. Just remember to make sure you have a USB power pack for your Raspberry Pi and a WiFi adapter if you are not using a Raspberry Pi 3.

I think that the kit came in good condition and I think that The kit is very good considering it was under £20. It is perfect as a first project on the raspberry pi.

We all want to construct a working robot with our sons, but the parts list is often the most daunting part of the build - what do you need to buy, and how do you ensure that the parts are matched to each other and the board you intend using? The CamJam EduKit #3 removes this challenge by bundling everything you need into a single kit, the heart of which lies in the motors and the motor controller board. Notwithstanding the fun to be had from the sensors contained in this kit, hooking up those wheels to the motors [via axles machined with a flat flange to prevent the wheels from slipping] & then talking to them via the motor controller which simply pops on to the GPIO bank, is already immensely satisfying. But let's return to the kit. The box is sturdy, contains everything you need [and can serve as the chassis for your robot] and importantly, has clear instructions printed on the outside in the form of a URL while takes you to the CamJam tutorials. The tutorials are well-written, easy to follow & standardised. One challenge you will face, is powering the Raspberry Pi; there is [understandably] nothing in the box for doing so [the battery pack drives the motors] so you need to purchase a power bank that will supply the necessary 5V to run the Pi. Don't skimp - low power prevents the Pi from working flawlessly. You'll also need 4 x AA batteries. While writing code & testing, the Pi is typically tethered to your TV/computer & has a keyboard attached. In this configuration, you will need to put your robot on a pedestal in order to allow the wheels to turn without running away. Of course, if you have a wireless connection [Pi3 or an older version Pi with a WiFi dongle], then you can simply SSH into the Pi using an appropriate terminal [PuTTY in my case]. This removes all tethering restrictions. The kit is a perfect introduction to motor-driven robots, and I would recommend it to anyone. The ONE thing I would really like to see, is "Worksheet 10 – Remote control" - it has been "Coming soon" for some time...
