“The set is perfect for beginner to learn the basics of motor control, distance measurement and self driving vehicles. There is a good instruction with working python code available and your ideas could be easily implemented. It makes a lot of fun to build a small driving robot an looking how it moves ... best regards from Germany Martin”

“A big plus for this kit is the lack of soldering and the all-in-one gear (well, aside from the implied need for a Raspi and Raspi power source). Using the box as a chassis cuts down on costs. Written guides are thorough and helpful.”

“I really like the kit, we have been using them in our digital maker sessions. Only grump is that one of the motors doesn't work, but that's a minor grump. Worksheets are good, although useful to know that complete novices get a little confused by comments associated with the code. Me I think its great, we have printed out the 3d chassis and are slowing moving our builds across. Good stuff thanks - Digital Maker - The Glass Box @Taunton”

“This is a great starter kit to learn how to control a robot using Python. It would be nice if you could buy a ready made chassis - the double sided tape works but isn't a very robust construction method. You will need a seperate power source and WiFi dongle for the Pi to go roving freely. (Not expensive). I bought a 10000mA Portapow from Amazon - it powers the Pi for hours on end. You can add FileZilla and Putty to your PC for remote access to the Pi controller. In all you will learn a lot about Linux, FTP, and Telnet. Add a camera and you can see what your bot is pointing at using a web browser on your PC. You will also learn to control the speed of the bot motors - though they tend not to turn below about 20% duty cycle. In all a really nice starter kit but be prepared to spend more on bits and pieces to make a robust chassis.”
