Its a load of rubbish. It wont work with my USB keyboard. There is nothing wrong with the keyboard as it works fine on my laptop. Added to this I sent you a email asking for help I you did not replay. Unhappy Doug.

I bought this, because I had an external HD, which didn't work on my raspberry pi. It turns out, that the pi(the USB ports) doesn't provide enough electricity for that. So, I bought this Hub and it works fine since.

I tried 3 USB hubs before - some of them were mentioned on the RPi compatibility list. But they all powered up the Raspberry via the USB connection. This caused several problems for my RPi 2 B, e.g. SD card read errors. Using the "7 Port USB Hub for the Raspberry Pi" these problems are history. This hub does not backfeed the RPi. It works fine using a KVM switch with USB mouse and keyboard. Great product! For measuring backfeeding I used a simple power tester according to this article (German): http://www.heise.de/artikel-archiv/ct/2015/07/164_Hub-Tester
