“Useful way to reuse old remotes. I reused my old TopField PVR case for a Pi 3b based Kodi Media Centre/TVHeadEnd PVR and wanted to reuse the old Topfield remote. The remote was not a well known brand but this handy USB receiver was easily configured on using a tool on my Windows PC using the Flirc software you can download. The is even a Kodi option. Just needed to ensure the USB receiver had a clear line of sight out of the old PVR case, and mounting it behind the smoked plastic fascia worked a treat.”

“Using it with an Intel Nuc running LibreElec. Works fine, but there are some functions in Kodi I cannot get the remote (Logitech Harmony) to fire. It works fine with the built in IR on the NUC so not sure where the error is.”
