The device works. It's a pity that not a lot of information is supplied with the Wifi Adapter or on the website.

Plugged it into a system running on the preinstalled Raspbian SD card (http://thepihut.com/collections/sd-cards/products/raspbian-preinstalled-sd-card) worked first time with no issues. *Sorry I know its a terrible pun.

Plugged it in and it worked. No problems at all. Just works.

Having struggled with building firmware for USB adapters in the past, it was nice that this device simply plugged in and worked. The only issue is that it systematically fails to functions without the use of a powered USB hub. Perhaps one day I'll get around to investigating why!

I did buy the openelec SD and the dongel, but it is still not working. Only the ethernet using the cable is working. I followed the instructions for the openelec WIFI but it is not working. I did set up the SSH connection and see that the connection is not active at all. Reseting the sytem openelec network parameters is not helping

I bought a USB wireless dongle discussed on the Raspberrypi.org forum and spent at least two days in frustration at its poor performance, blaming myself for my incompetence and lack of familiarity with the OS and the required software. I then bought this dongle from the PiHut. It works out of the box with no issues. No need for additional drivers, no fuss, no time wasting. If you are struggling with a different product, put it in the physical recycling bin or give it to someone with more time on their hands and buy one of these. I actually have two. I use them at home and also when working with students where I want to encourage them to use their Smartphones to login to their RPis to see how remote support works in the world outside school. For this type of work, total reliability is essential - my credibility as a teacher/ facilitator is on the line.
