“Purchased a Parker single blade injector razor. I had a schick version as a youngster (free from a radio Luxembourg promotion) and have lamented its parting since blades became unavailable in the UK. I even resorted to a beard for a while. I started shaving again a couple of years ago and have worked my way through many variants of modern multi blade razors but this single blade razor is perfect. To paraphrase Orwell four (or more) blades good, one blade better. If, like me, you’ve got a bit lazy about pressure/angles as your modern razor has a swivel mount , just use a really light pressure and you’ll get great results. Don’t be tempted to turn the adjustment up above lowest setting until you’ve got used to the technique needed. Pair it with one of the excellent shaving foams offered for best results.”
