The prawns themselves wee delicious, but I was disappointed that one box had black Prawns and the other not quit so. In fact, I would say they were more pink in colour. I make a family recipe of chilli prawns and the difference in colour was very noticeable. This was the only snag

A bit disappointed with my latest purchase in November - not as good as my previous purchases. The quality of the prawns were not as good, many of them were watery and fragile (while the previous purchases most of the prawns had been firm and fresh).

the prawns were not frozen individually so that I had to defrost the whole block meaning having to consume all 12 or 14 at the same time. either they had partially defrosted in transit and then re-froze as a block an arrival or were despatched frozen as a block, either way not satisfactory

Hi This kind of wholeprawn is always frozen in a block. If packed loose, the prawns would jostle each other all the way down the supply chain and when you finally opened the pack you would find all the delicate parts - eg legs, antennae and eyes - detached. THERE IS A VERY SIMPLE WAY TO DEFROST ONLY WHAT YOU NEED NOW: unwrap the block and hold it under COLD running water. Within 30 seconds, it will begin to fall apart. Within a muinute you will be able to separate the exact number of prawn you want to cook now. At this point, all the prawns will still be frozen. So wrap up the prawns you want to store and place in your freezer. The rest, defrost as normal.
