“Cooked your mussels last night. One pack is a good size for a small starter for four. Quality great. However, the instructions are “cook from frozen”. Frozen = a slab. Feeding aforesaid slab into the cooking liquor gave me some mussels nicely cooked at the bottom, others trapped in a frozen matrix. Consequence? I hit the slab with the back of a knife to break it up. Mussels cooked nicely, but with quite a lot of broken shell. The quality was great - plump, juicy and the taste was wonderful. I will buy them again, but will ignore the instructions, and thaw them out a little before cooking. You might like to include this in your information.”

“Many broken shells. Lots completely shut after cooking so much wasted. Disappointed they were from Chile- thought Fish Society was supporting local fishermen.”
