“Just like how I used to enjoy them when I lived in Holland. Take a few filets out the freezer and put them in the fridge overnight and next day it’s like having breakfast in Scheveningen”

“I love Matjes, they are very difficult to get in the UK so I had to try them when I saw that they were available again. The fillets were individually packed and therefore not sticking together which I quite liked. I had never tried pre-frozen Matjes before so I was a bit skeptical initially but didn’t get disappointed, very mild in taste, fresh and not ‘fishy’ at all.”

“These are a wonderful resource to make Polish "Sledz" Herrings with. It also reminds me of childhood days visiting Holland and the Scheveningen pier and eating fresh Maatjes in rolls with chopped onions - YUM!”
