Hello Vivien We're pleased you enjoyed the breaded whitebait. Just in case you were not aware, so long as the fish were still cold to the touch, even though defrosted, it would have been perfectly OK to refreeze.

“Really enjoyed my first dish of whitebait in my house. Usually get it at the local pub. The fish were fresh and the coating very tasty. My only concern was that DPD had me down for a late afternoon delivery and I was worried, in the current heat, that it would affect the frozen ness of the fish. As it was, I read your advice online and noted that, as they were still very cold, they would be ok. I put them in the freezer straight away. I have enough for several weeks but will be ordering more when they have gone.”
