Never had coquille saint Jacques before, but love seafood. Ordered two first up. Absolutely fantastic. Taste sensation, and with the creamy mash and texture of the fish and scallops, simply amazing. I'm on a diet to lose weight, and these on a cheat day are a good send. They are equally suited to entertaining guests. 25-30mins on 220 and hey presto. I actually bought half a dozen more.

Always a tasty quick and easy go to, when you need a quick supper, just as good with peas or a salad.

They are simply lovely. Have bought them before. Not strictly Coquille as they are more like scollopy fish pies but great never the less. Buy them, you will never be disappointed.

The Coquilles St Jacques are much better than 'good'. They are absolutely wonderful!

I was disappointed by the blandness. As a celebratory dish I would have liked a suggestion of white wine. The sprinkling of cheddar was not enough to flavour it. Maybe Gruyère and Parmesan in the sauce (Mornay) or in the potato would fix it. Also more salt and pepper! "Cook at 220 for 25-30 minutes". I took this to mean 200 Fan, but after 25 minutes the middle was actually cold. I left a hole and cooked another 5 minutes for a satisfactory result. This needs clarification. My dinner party was actually cancelled due to Covid, so I cooked one for myself and now have plenty of spares to experiment with. The next one will have a hole made after 15 minutes and a teaspoon of wine inserted, then sprinkled with Parmesan, salt and pepper.

very poor, just few bits of scallop, otherwise a mash potato on a shell

I have had some great fish, soles, lobsters, scampi, scallops enjoyed them all but the Coquille Saint Jacques were very disappointing. Just had two and seriously consider putting the rest of the 10 in the bin without bothering to cook. Sad after so many good things to get to this.
