“My cockles were too small, very young and with little flavour. I much prefer them plump, juicy with that wonderful cockle texture and taste. I would guess they originated from a shellfish farm where they have probably been harvested far too early. In my view, the longer the cockles have to grow, the better the texture and taste. However, I fully appreciate that shoreline hand-picked cockles with varying size would cost the customer more! By the way, I haven't yet consumed the lobster tails and whelks I recently ordered. It's worth mentioning my previous crab and whelk order was full of excellent meat! Hope these comments help the company. Best regards Bob”
