Have eaten this type of fish before and this time the flesh very dense and rubbery, not a pleasant taste, tried cooking 3 ways frying, baking and poaching all the same taste and texture quite unpleasant.

Dear Mr Flanaghan Thanks for your review. We always appreciate all comment positive or negative. I noticed that previously you had ordered the fillet steaks whereas this time, you ordered ventresca (or belly) cuts. This part of the fish has a distinctly different "mouth feel" from the rest of the fillet so I am not surprised that "this time" was not the same as your earlier experience. And, yes, it would certainly seem more dense - it does not have the muscle flakes present in the rest of the fillet. In fact, we have many repeat orders for ventresca cuts, although admittedly from only a minority of customers. I am sorry you were disappointed by your choice on this occasion. As you have been a good customer for a long time, I have put a small credit on your account which will come off your next order.
