“My first ever bloater and it wasn't a disappointment. I had been looking forward to it for so long and was astonished that they're so hard to find. Smoking whole gives a delicate and slightly gamey flavour, easily differentiated from a kipper. Only negative is how bony they are, but absolutely delicious.”
